Little Miss Petunia Pie has been with a foster family since November 2021. This family has taken excellent care of her over the last 1 1/2 years and now it’s time to help them find a furever family for Petunia. Petuna is about 6 years old and loves everyone she meets. She is very sweet and loving with humans and dogs of all sizes (She loves cuddling with the one year old child in the home); and she even likes cats. Petuna must be an inside dog and have a fenced yard. She used to roam free prior to coming into our care so she has ran off to explore if not leashed or fenced. As mentioned, she had heartworms and has completed treatment and tested negative for heartworms since then. She must take Heartworm preventative for the rest of her life (as should ALL dogs). Petunia knows commands such as sit and wait. She learns tricks pretty easily. She is potty trained and walks on a leash. She is very laid back and loves to nap and relax all day. She loves water and enjoys going to the river to swim. She enjoys hikes in the woods as well but due to her past heartworm treatment she shouldn’t be over exercised.
