Fay

Fay is a gorgeous 5-month-old Australian Shepherd/Golden Retriever/Husky mix — a perfect blend of playful, active, loyal, and smart! Weighing about 20 lbs now, she’s likely to stay the perfect size for both outdoor adventures (she loves car rides!) and cozy couch cuddles (if she’s allowed).

When Fay first arrived, she was timid, nervous, and lacked confidence. But in less than a week, she blossomed into a joyful, confident, loving girl. She thrives on praise, gentle encouragement, and lots of love — and will repay you with endless affection and loyalty.

Fay enjoys being around people, whether she’s getting belly rubs or quietly lying nearby while you work or just relaxing watching tv. She’s happy to entertain herself with toys or bones but will occasionally nudge in for a few pets and kisses. She would love a dog friend to play chase in the yard, but would also do well as an only dog as long as she has company for much of the day.

She’s still working on potty training — she hasn’t quite mastered how to tell you she needs to go — but she’s catching on quickly with consistent praise and guidance. Fay already knows “sit,” “leave it,” and “drop it,” and she’s easily redirected to things she can have. She’s an eager-to-please, quick learner who thrives in a positive environment.

At night, she sleeps soundly in her crate and does great in her crate when left for a few hours. Once she’s fully housebroken she will be fine free roaming the home, she doesn’t get into anything or make a mess!
