Meet Coraline – “Cora the Explorer” 🐾💗

Coraline, or “Cora” as she’s affectionately called, is a 16-week-old Dachshund mix with a heart of gold and the sweetest personality you could hope for. She’s good with everyone she meets—kids, adults, and other dogs—and her best friend is her foster home’s big Labrador retriever. The two wrestle gently every morning before Cora moves on to snuggling and playing with her human foster siblings whenever they’re around.

Cora’s favorite toy is a small tennis ball, and she’ll happily play fetch or entertain herself by pouncing on it with pure puppy joy. She’s a curious, lovable girl who greets the people she loves with full-body tail wags, then happily settles in for a nap on the couch beside them.

She sleeps soundly through the night in her crate and does well for short periods during the day. Potty training is going great, she comes when called, and she’s already starting to learn “sit” and the basics of leash walking. Cora is a quiet pup—we haven’t heard her bark yet—and only whines briefly when first crated. She loves spending time outdoors, whether it’s sitting in the grass, relaxing under a shady tree, or exploring every corner of the yard—earning her the nickname “Cora the Explorer.”

Cora will do best in a home with a fenced yard or with someone home often enough to give her frequent outdoor time. She’s expected to be around 25 lbs. full-grown and is ready to bring her sweet, playful, and affectionate spirit to a forever family who will cherish her as much as she’ll adore them.
