Bowtie
Bowie is an adorable little guy you will fall in love when you meet him. He’d love a yard, kids, a dog friend, and active family to take him on adventures.
At just 5 months old and 15 pounds, Bowtie, aka Bowie is the perfect little companion. His foster mom calls him a ‘perfect puppy’. We believe he’s a Collie/Terrier mix and not expected to get much bigger, which makes him a great fit for just about any home—big or small.
Bowie is the definition of a happy pup. He adores everyone he meets—kids, adults, dogs, you name it. He’s quick to win hearts with his sweet and gentle personality. He’s been such a good boy in his foster home—already learning ‘sit’, responding to his name, and picking up potty training quickly (very few accidents!) showing just how smart he is. With a schedule, this boy will be fully house-trained in no time.
Like most puppies, Bowie has small bursts of silly energy where he’ll zoom around the house with his toys (it’s ridiculously cute). But most of the time, he’s a laid-back little guy who loves belly rubs, curling up for naps, and following his foster mom or doggy brother around like the sweetest little shadow. He’s been very quiet in the home—he hasn’t barked since his very first adjustment night—and he’s gentle with toys and treats.
He’s also a great travel buddy! Bowie happily rides in the car for school drop-offs and pickups, either snuggling up in the seat for a nap or watching the world go by out the window. On leash, he’s still learning his manners (there are just so many good smells!) but he’s eager and responsive. He sleeps in his crate at night without a peep, and he’s done well being left for short periods. Baths, brushing, even vet visits? This little guy does great!
Bowie would thrive in a home with another friendly dog to play with, but he’d also be perfectly content as an only dog with a family who is home more often than not and includes him in their little adventures. Whether that’s kids to play with, trips to the dog park, or daily walks, Bowie is up for the adventure. A fenced yard would be a bonus (he’s small enough to slip through wide gaps in aluminum fencing, so safety is key!) but it’s not a requirement.
His foster mom says Bowie is truly the perfect mix of fun, smart, and snuggly—and she can’t imagine a better addition to any family. Whoever adopts this sweet boy will be one very lucky family. Meet him and fall in love!
