Alfie is a gorgeous German Shorthaired Pointer with a very loving, intellegent and happy temperament. He loves to snuggle, run and play, and will be perfect for an active family.
Meet Alfie—an affectionate, one-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer ready for his forever family! This smart boy has already mastered sit, down, stay, come, fetch, place, and kennel up with his foster family! He even plays hide-and-seek with his favorite toy, “Lovie,” showing off his determination and intelligence.
Alfie’s ideal home would be one where someone is home during the day and where he can be active and mentally stimulated—think running, hiking, and a big fenced yard to play in. He’s a sweet boy eager to please, and while he’s currently an only dog, he’d thrive with another big, active dog buddy to match his playful energy! When he’s ready to wind down he is all about snuggle time – he is an expert cuddler!
This kangaroo-at-heart loves to jump and hop around, especially when he’s excited. He’s working on keeping his paws on the ground, so until he masters it, kids under 13-14 may not be the best match. Alfie needs a strong leader and an experienced family who understands the energy and intelligence of a GSP.
