Hi, I’m Akela! I’m a smart, sassy 16-week-old, 12-pound Chihuahua mix who’s equal parts lovebug and goofball. I adore snuggling with my humans, and I think my foster dog siblings are the best playmates ever. The backyard is my personal racetrack for epic zoomies, and when I’m not running laps, I’m showing off my potty training skills—I’m almost ready to earn my house-trained medal! Kids are great fun, stuffed toys are my absolute favorite, and I sleep through the night as long as I’m curled up beside you. After a good round of zoomies or playtime, I’m all about a cozy nap.
In my perfect forever home, I’d love to have another playful dog to wrestle and chase around with, or at least a human who’s ready for playtime and adventures. A fenced backyard would be amazing for my daily sprints,and I’d be happy with walks and playtime too. I’m happiest when I’m close to my people, so a family who loves to snuggle and include me in their daily life would be my dream come true. Whether it’s kids to giggle at my silly antics, another dog to share toys with, and humans who can be my partner in couch cuddles, I’m ready to be your loyal, loving, and slightly silly best friend for life.
