Jetson
Jetson is playful, affectionate, goofy boy. He’d love an active family, a fenced yard to play in, and someone home often to give him the love he’s always deserved.
This incredible 3-year-old, 56 lb Airdoodle (Airedale Terrier + Poodle mix) is ready to meet his forever family! Jetson’s life before rescue was heartbreaking. He lived outside, his fur completely matted to the skin — long, painful dreadlocks of fur hanging from his body. He was covered in fleas, with open sores that were very painful. Yet through all of that, his tail never stopped wagging. Even in the worst of times, Jetson still sought out love and attention. This boy never gave up hope that someone would see the amazing dog he truly is.
Fast forward just a month, and what a transformation! Jetson is now clean, happy, healthy, and so full of life. His beautiful coat is growing back, and his spirit shines brighter every single day. Jetson has adjusted well to indoor life and he quickly learned that being loved and cared for feels pretty great! He’ll need a family who’s home more often than not — people who can help him continue to build confidence through kindness, attention, and reassurance.
He’s playful and energetic with those hilarious bursts of doodle zoomies that will keep you laughing! Jetson would love an active family who enjoys walks, hikes, running, or playing in the yard. At 3 years old, he’s still young and has lots of energy to burn. A friendly, playful dog companion would be ideal for him, though he’d also be happy soaking up attention as the center of your world.
Because Jetson spent his early life outdoors, potty training is still new, but he’s doing amazing in his foster home. With a routine and regular walks, he’s catching on fast and doing his business outside like a pro. He’s not crate trained — and that’s okay! Jetson is completely trustworthy when left alone and non-destructive. He doesn’t do well being confined, so a home where he isn’t crated for long periods (or at all) will make him happiest. Over time, with gentle guidance, he can learn a crate is a safe place, but for now, he’s perfectly behaved without one.
Jetson loves people and has a heart as big as his smile. He’s sweet, affectionate, curious, and loves to snuggle. Because of his size and enthusiasm, small children may not be the best fit, as he can be a little clumsy and doesn’t realize how big he is. He’ll need regular grooming to keep his coat healthy and soft, and to make sure he never experiences matting or discomfort again.
After everything he’s endured, Jetson deserves a life full of love, comfort, and adventure. He’s ready to give his whole heart to the family who gives him the forever home he’s always dreamed of.
