Cedar is a playful, energetic, and full of love, but he’s also a bit shy when meeting new people. He is working on training, loves his people and is very loyal.
Meet Cedar, we are told he’s 6-months-old, and at 66lbs this beautiful Golden Retriever has a heart of gold! He’s playful, energetic, and full of love, but he’s also a bit shy when meeting new people. Cedar came from a backyard breeder at 5 months old and wasn’t well socialized, but he’s come a long way since then! With some sweet talk and lots of love, he warms up quickly and is eager to bond with his family. Cedar is incredibly loyal to his people and loves being close to them, whether he’s following you around or snuggling at your feet.
Cedar would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time. He needs plenty of attention and care. Cedar is great with other dogs and a well-trained dog friend would be perfect for him! We don’t know how he is with kids, but he has a calm, sweet demeanor so we think he’d be fine, especially with older kids. He may be nervous around toddlers or babies.
Though Cedar is still learning commands, he’s a smart boy and picks up on things quickly with patience, positive reinforcement, and lots of treats. He’s crate trained and partially potty trained, but he’ll need some continued training. He is not leash trained so a secure fenced yard is necessary for his exercise and safety.
