Our rescue dogs live in foster homes so they can adjust to being part of a loving family.  Our priority is to ensure the pet you want to adopt will be a perfect fit for your home and lifestyle.  We consider the age of the animal, temperament; how they get along with other dogs, cats, and other animals; men, women and children; what their exercise needs and socialization needs are. We also take into account their history, breed mix, and size. There are many factors that go into placing a dog in the right home so their transition is successful and their new family is happy.

Steps To Our Adoption Process

Complete An Application

If you’ve found an animal that you want to adopt, fill out an adoption application.  It’s important to be honest when filling out the application as we want to make sure that the dog will be a good fit for your home, lifestyle and family.

Application Review & Approval

Your application will be reviewed and given preliminary approval if you live within our adoption area and meet the criteria for the dog that you applied for.  If your application is approved, you can expect to hear from one of our team members within a few days.  

Meet & Greet

The foster, or one of our volunteers will go to your home to meet you and your family. We want to ensure the dog you want to adopt gets along well with the family, other pets you may have and that the home is a safe environment. If all goes well, we can finalize the adoption!
