Please Help Dolly, Scarlet & Minnie

$50 of $1,400 raised

Dolly and Scarlet are two sweet puppies that came to us from a breeder (puppy mill) with poor nutrition and minimal veterinary care. Minnie is from a very rural area in southern Missouri and came to us pregnant with nonviable and deformed babies along with other health issues. All three of these pups are safe and happy but need a lot of veterinary Care.

Scarlet is a 2 year old King Charles Cavalier. She has grade IV periodontal disease, at least 4 teeth with bone loss and gingival recession enough to expose furcation, marked tartar, gingivitis, halitosis.  She has a soft, moveable lump on back of her neck about the size of a marble, nonpainful; an umbilical hernia about the size of a cherry tomato that is not reducible. Scarlet will require 2 surgeries; 1 for the hernia repair and removal of rear dewclaws and a 2nd surgery for dental and mass removal. The vet recommends performing surgeries on different dates due to severity of dental disease and concern over bacteria and prolonged anesthesia. The estimate for hernia, dental, mass removal and biopsy is $ 581.43

Dolly is a 9 year old poodle with grade 2 dental disease, 4 incisors have root exposure and need to be extracted. Estimate for surgery is $ 270.85

Minnie is a sweet young girl who got impregnated by her father, the result of that was nonviable babies with deformities. Considering her living conditions and no vet care she also has Whipworms and will need treatment over the next 3 months and Ehrlichia, which does not surprise us.  The cost for surgery, whipworm and ehrlichia treatment is $544.06

Please donate to help us cover these unexpected cost. we are a 501 (c)(3) non profit so your donation is tax deductible.

Eye Surgery For Sandy

$225 of $250 raised

When we see a post “Mom and puppies are in a kill shelter will be euthanized for space” We try our best to save them. This is exactly what happened to Sandy and her 6, 3-week old puppies. They were in a kill shelter in Baldwin County Alabama, near the Gulf of Mexico. Sandy and her 6 puppies were pulled minutes before euthanasia on Friday and began their journey to St. Louis. They were going to die for no other reason than “space”. Lucky Chance Rescue could not let that happen. The good news is…We were lucky to have our foster, Lisa, offer to give mama a safe place to raise her babies. Sandy and her 6 puppies took the long 11 hour drive from Alabama to Kirkwood where she and her puppies will be cared for. Now the sad news… Sandy has a “non-functional” left eye and entropion of the upper lid. She will require enucleation (removal of the eye).  You all know we rely on donations for medical care and we definitely need your help!!

Rescues jump in to save dogs, sometimes at the witching hour, not knowing the health of the dogs we are taking in. Sandy and her 6 puppies were in a kill shelter in Alabama and set to be euthanized for space. Lucky Chance Rescue could not let that happen! Sandy and her 6 puppies are with their new foster family where she and her puppies will be cared for. Sandy has a “non-functional” left eye and entropion of the upper lid. She will require enucleation (removal of the eye) or at least entropion repair. We are going to need donations to help cover these costs. She is also very thin, has multiple kinds of worms. Saving her life and the life of her puppies was first thing on our mind, knowing her health issues would not have changed our minds, but we definitely need your help!!

Now that Sandy is safe with us, please help us and donate to her care
