Maizley came to us with a leg injury due to an untreated trauma. We had radiographs done and sent to a radiology specialist. they found that there are pieces of bone missing on her femur. Maizley suffered a trauma to her knee and had a fracture of the growth plate which went without treatment. Her knee is misaligned with abnormal angular, rotational deformities and inflammation of the kneecap. We will have an orthopedic consultation to see if there is any surgical options to repair the bone or if we need to amputate the leg. She is doing well, all things considered, but she is young and we want to make sure she has the best outcome for a long, pain free life! This could be an ongoing expense we weren’t expecting. We need your help to cover expenses for her radiology exam and consultation. This was unfortunately not in our budget but needed to be done!
