If you don't know his story, since Ollie was born, he has been unable to eat food or drink water without coughing it back up. We've had X-rays done and a swallow study at the BREATHE clinic at Veterinary Health Center in Columbia. He was diagnosed with "Upper Esophageal Sphincter Achalasia". This means that every time he eats or drinks, a small amount enters his trachea, and he is at risk for aspiration pneumonia which could be deadly. Luckily, this can be fixed through surgical correction at Mizzou. We have been given an estimate of $5000 for surgery, on top of the $900 on testing for the diagnosis, we just do not have the funds to cover this. We are a very small rescue and we need your help. We are so grateful for anything you can donate. He is loved by so many and deserves to have a long and healthy life.
