Camilla is a purebred Great Dane that came to us from a lady who was in rescue and couldn’t take care of her. She kept Camilla in a crate that was way too small for her. She has scars all over her body from “rolling around in gravel” and a raw and infected tail from “Happy Tail”. Despite our best efforts to treat her wounded tail with antibiotics, and daily dressing we couldn’t save her tail. The wound was quite severe and she was in a lot of pain; the only option was amputation. She is recovering nicely, and will be just fine with a stubby little tail! This was not something we had set aside in our budget so donations will be greatly appreciated.
