Peffercorn is a sweet, spunky, smart little kitty! She came into the rescue at just 4-5 weeks old after living in a barn with her 5 other littermates. Peffercorn is so curious and smart! She loves playing with all her littermates and loves playing with her foster parents’ other resident cat to the point where she’s figured out how to break out of the foster kitty enclosure multiple times to get to the resident cat for playtime. She’s smart because she quickly located the other resident litter boxes and will go back into the kitten enclosure when she’s ready. Peffercorn makes herself at home and loves being with the “older cats”. After playing, she will finally settle down in your lap and purr loudly with the scratches behind her ears and on her neck. She’s also litterbox trained.

As always, we love to see our kittens be adopted with a littermate, and Peffercorn is definitely a kitty who needs a playmate. Her littlermate YeahYeah would make a great companion for her or she’d do well if you have another young friendly kitty at home already. Kittens love to have friends, contrary to the belief that cats are loners, they are incredibly social and thrive when they have feline friends, especially a kitten they have bonded with since birth. We always recommend adopting two kittens, or adopting a solo kitten only if you already have another young cat in the home for the kitten to befriend. While some kittens may still do well alone, Peffercorn is a kitty that needs a friend and only applicants looking to adopt 2 kitties or who already have a friendly cat at home will be considered for this sweet girl.  Peffercorn will be available to adopt between 10/20 and 11/20. We know it’s a few weeks away but wanted to get this cute little face out there now so you don’t miss out on adopting him!
